L'antisémitisme socialiste: Destrée, La lettre au roi

Portada
L'AGE D'HOMME, 2003 - 113 páginas
Jules Destrée (1863-1936) was a Walloon socialist and a partisan of the separation of Wallonia and Flanders; he was the author of "La lettre au Roi sur la séparation de la Wallonie et de la Flandre" (1912). Pp. 79-95 deal with his antisemitism, which was strongly influenced by the socialist and racist Edmond Picard. Destrée's antisemitism had two sources: one of socialist origin, in which the Jew was considered as a capitalist, usurer, and exploiter of the poor; the other came from racist ideology, opposition to the mixture of races.
