Mr. Young introduced Senate bill No. 228, entitled A bill to create a district or refuge in Ingham County to be known as "Pine Lake Wild Life Sanctuary" in which it shall be unlawful to kill, catch, or destroy any wild game animals, wild game or song birds, their offspring or eggs, and to protect fish in any breeding ponds that may be constructed for that purpose and to provide a penalty for the violation thereof. Mr. Pearson moved that a respectful message be sent to the House, asking the return to the Senate of House bill No. 48 (file No. 61), entitled A bill to authorize rural agricultural school districts to borrow and issue bonds therefor. The motion prevailed. General Orders. Senate blil No. 10 (file No. 181), entitled Mr. Gansser moved that the Senate resolve itself into Committee of the Whole for consideration of the general orders. The motion prevailed and the President designated Mr. Gansser as chairman. Accordingly the Senate resolved itself into Committee of the Whole, with Mr. Gansser in the chair. The following is the amendment recommended by the Committee of the Whole: Section 1, line 7, after the word "survivor", strike out balance of section and insert in lieu thereof "and the title to said mortgage shall vest in the survivor." The Senate agreed to the amendment recommended by the Committee of the Whole and the bill as amended was placed on the order of Third Reading of Bills. The Committee of the Whole, through its Chairman, reported back to the Senate, favorably and with amendment Senate bill No. 180 (file No. 171), entitled A bill to amend section 2 of Act No. 156 of the Public Acts of 1851, entitled "An act to define the powers and duties of the boards of supervisors of the several counties and to confer upon them certain local administrative and legislative powers," which would follow section 2265 of the Compiled Laws of 1915. The following is the amendment recommended by the Committee of the Whole: Amend section 2, after "Sec. 2" in line 1, by striking out all of subdivision (a) in lines 1 to 12 inclusive and also "(b)" in line 13.
