MORNING:

"I will sing praises to the God of Jacob."-Psa. lxxv. 9.

The God of Abraham praise,
Who reigns enthroned above,
Ancient of everlasting days,
And God of love.

NOON:

"They joy before thee according to the joy in harvest."—Isa. ix. 3.

O Christ, be Thou our present joy,
Our future great reward;

Our only glory may it be
To glory in the Lord.

EVENING:

Do I know Christ as the Sun of Righteousness?(Mal. iv. 2.)

His presence, felt, enhances joy;
His love can stop each flowing tear,
And cause upon the darkest cloud
The bow of mercy to appear.

MORNING :

"In God will I praise His word."— Psa. Ivi. 4, 10.

Firm are the words His prophets give,
Sweet words on which His children live;
Each of them is the voice of God,

Who spake, and spread the skies abroad.

NOON:

"Let my mouth be filled with Thy praise and with Thine honour all the day.”—Psa. lxxi. 8.

Thy presence only can bestow
Delights which never cloy;
Be this my solace here below,
And my eternal joy.

EVENING:

Is Christ my all and in all?-(Eph.

i. 22, 23.)

Lord, be my Safety and Defence,
My Light, my Joy, my Bliss;
My portion in the world to come,
My confidence in this.

MORNING :

"I will be no judge of such matters." -Acts xviii. 15.

Not different food, not different dress,
Compose the kingdom of our Lord;
But peace, and joy, and righteousness,
Faith, and obedience to His word.

"Avoid foolish questions." Tit. iii.

Not for a favourite form or name,

But for immortal souls we care;

Bless, Saviour, our Jerusalem,

That millions may her blessings share.

Jesus, Thou living Word,

Speak to this soul of mine,

Make there Thy whisper to be heard,
And teach me truth divine.
