MORNING:

"We will go into His tabernacles; we will worship at His footstool.”Psa. cxxxii. 7.

With early feet I love to appear

Among Thy saints, and seek Thy face; Oft have I seen Thy glory there, And felt the power of sovereign grace.

NOON :

"His favour is as dew upon the .”—Prov. xix. 12.

grass.

The dew lies thick on all the ground,
Shall my poor fleece be dry?

The manna rains from heaven around,
Shall I of hunger die?

EVENING:

Where do I get my griefs soothed? (Heb. iv. 16.)

There is a heavenly mercy-seat

To calm the sinner's fears;

There is a Saviour at whose feet

The mourner dries his tears.

MORNING :

"We will rejoice in Thy salvation, and in the name of our God we will set up our banners."-Psa. xx. 5.

Faint not, Christian, though the world
Has its hostile flag unfurl'd;

Hold the cross of Jesus fast,

Thou shalt overcome at last.

NOON :

"He preserveth the way of His saints."-Prov. ii. 8.

Oh, guide our doubtful feet aright,
And keep us in Thy ways;
And while we turn our vows to prayers,
Turn Thou our prayers to praise.

EVENING:

Why have I left so many vows unfulfilled?-(Prov. xxviii. 26.)

I was too bold; he never yet stood sure
That stands secure!

Who ever trusted to his native strength
But fell at length?

MORNING :

"I will walk before the Lord in the land of the living."— Psa. cxvi. 9.

A pilgrim here I wander,
On earth have no abode;
My father-land is yonder,
My home is with my God.

NOON:

"The wise shall inherit glory."

Prov. iii. 35.

My spirit seeks its dwelling yonder;

And faith foredates the joyful day, When yon blue skies shall cease to sunder The one dear love-link'd family.

EVENING:

What seed have I this day been sowing?(Rev. xiv. 14-19.)

Eternity is but Time's harvest-home;
Futurity the blossom of To-day;

What thou dost sow, in measure and in kind,
That also shalt thou reap.

MORNING :

''

"I will never forget Thy precepts; for with them Thou hast quickened me.”—Psa. cxix. 93.

Let sacred duties every day

Our highest pleasure be;

And, in Thine own appointed way,
Conduct our souls to Thee.

NOON:

"My son, be wise, and make my heart glad."-Prov. xxvii. 11.

Ask for light to know God's will,
Ask for love thy heart to fill,

Ask for faith to bear thee on

Through the might of Christ His Son.

How have I discharged this day's duties?-(Matt. xi. 29.)

Oh, take My yoke,—the blest Redeemer cries, Divine compassion beaming in His eyes,Learn thou of Me; My teaching shall impart Truth to thy mind, and comfort to thy heart.

MORNING :

"So shall I keep Thy law continually for ever and ever.”—Psa.cxix. 44. High Heaven, that heard the solemn vow, That vow renew'd shall daily hear,

Till in life's latest hour I bow,

And bless in death a bond so dear.

NOON:

"The light of the righteous rejoiceth."-Prov. xiii. 9.

When black the threatening clouds appear, And storms my path invade,

That voice shall tranquillize each fear, "'Tis I, be not afraid."

EVENING:

How have I accepted this day's privations?—(Job i. 21.)

Ne'er murmur at His high decrees,
Who gives and takes away;

But, grateful for His mercies past,
Prize those He gives to-day.
