Richards Family History, Volumen1J.G. Stevenson, 1977 Edward Richards (1615-1689) immigrated from England to Lynn, Essex County, Massachusetts. Joseph Richards (1762-1840), direct descen- dant in the seventh generation, was born in Southborough, Worcester County, Massachusetts and served in the Revolutionary War. In 1781 he married Rhode Howe, and moved to settle in Berkshire County, Massachusetts. All but two of their surviving children became Mormon converts, and eventually moved to Utah and elsewhere. Ancestors lived in New England and in England. |
