September 7, 1988: Peggy Hadey told the vocational rehabilitation job specialist that I was doing satisfactory work. I was dismissed from my job without warning for not working fast enough: Sept. 10, 1988. -Talked with people at affirmative action office several times, both by myself and accompanied by father and Margaret. (Was later told that note had been removed from file.) -Enrolled in writing course at Purdue: Writing for Publication -Talked to Vickie Lojek of Encore about -Talked with Donald Schneck of West Lafayette Small Business Development Center about operating a children's bookstore. -Visited Jack & Jill Bookstore in Indianapolis. Had conference with owner about starting a children's bookstore. -Visited children's bookstore: Indianapolis Indianapolis. (third one) in Sept. Oct. In addition, I sent resumes to Follets Book Store *Logos Book Store *University Book Store -Dr. Huey said I would not be required to pass -After contacting my State Representative, I was finally allowed to bypass Purdue's typing test. -Inquired at Technical Information Service, Purdue, after learning of an opening there.
