Prison industrial plants, supervision, etc., of.

AN ACT to amend act number one hundred sixty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred twenty-one, entitled "An act creating the state welfare department, prescribing its form of organization, its powers and duties; providing for the management and control of state hospitals, prisons and other state institutions of a special nature; to provide for the welfare of persons in the custody or under the tutelage of the state; abolishing certain boards governing institutions embraced within this act, and creating certain commissions in succession thereto; and making an appropriation for certain purposes of this act," by adding a new section thereto after section fourteen thereof, to stand as section fourteen-a.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. Act number one hundred sixty-three of the public acts of nineteen hundred twenty-one, entitled "An act creating the state welfare department, prescribing its form, of organization, its powers and duties; providing for the management and control of state hospitals, prisons and other state institutions of a special nature; to provide for the welfare of persons in the custody or under the tutelage of the state; abolishing certain boards governing institutions embraced within this act, and creating certain commissions in succession thereto; and making an appropriation for certain purposes of this act," is hereby amended by adding a new section thereto after section fourteen thereof, to stand as section fourteen-a, and to read as follows:

SEC. 14-a. The state prison commission is hereby invested with the control, management, co-ordination and supervision of the industrial plants connected with the several prisons and the purchase and sale of equipment and raw material used in connection therewith. The plants, equipment, material and products thereof shall be under the management of said commission and the wardens thereof shall perform such duties relative thereto as shall be prescribed by Manager, who the commission. The commission shall have authority to designate one of the prison wardens as manager of such industries, and also appoint a general sales agent, and to define their powers and fix their compensation. All powers and authority hereby granted shall be subject to the supervision of the state administrative board.

AN ACT to make appropriations for the board of osteopathic registration for the fiscal years ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-four, and June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-five, for maintenance, operation and other purposes.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general Amount and fund for the board of osteopathic registration for the fiscal purposes. year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-four, the sum of six hundred and twenty dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-five, the sum of six hundred and twenty dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

Each of said amounts shall be used solely for the specific purposes herein stated, subject to the general supervisory control of the state administrative board: Provided, That in Proviso. no case shall the expenditures of said board exceed the fees collected by it.

The People of the State of Michigan enact:

SECTION 1. There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the state board of accountancy for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-four, the sum of one thousand two hundred and seventy-one dollars, and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twentyfive, the sum of five hundred and seventy-one dollars, for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:

There is hereby appropriated from the general fund for the commissioner of pardons and paroles for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twentyfour, the sum of twenty thousand nine hundred twenty-five dollars and for the fiscal year ending June thirty, nineteen hundred twenty-five, the sum of twenty thousand eight hundred twenty-five dollars for the purposes and in the specific amounts as follows:
