LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL
U.S. SENATE COMMITTEE ON COMMERCE,
January 29, 1965. To Members of the Committee on Commerce, U.S. Senate:
I am pleased to transmit herewith for your information and use a compilation of Federal statutes relating to fish and wildlife.
The committee staff received great assistance from the Legislative Reference Service
of the Library of Congress and from the Legislative Council and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service of the Department of the Interior in the preparation of this publication. We appreciate their aid and guidance.
WARREN G. MAGNUSON, Chairman, Committee on Commerce.
The Federal laws contained in this compilation are in their amended form with certain minor editorial changes and sectional subheadings for purposes of brevity and clarity. Appropriate citations to the United States Statutes at Large and the United States Code are found at the beginning of each amended statute.
A compilation of treaties and other international agreements containing provisions on commercial fisheries, marine resources, sport fisheries, and wildlife appear in a separate volume.
Acknowledgment is made to West Publishing Co., St. Paul, Minn., and to Edward Thompson Co., Brooklyn, N.Y., for permission to use the United States Code Annotated as one of the sources of the statutory provisions and other materials included in this compilation.
