AIL! the day that sees Him rise, Hallelujah!

Glorious to His native skies ! Hallelujah! Christ, awhile to mortals given, Hallelujah! Enters now the highest heaven. Hallelujah!

There the glorious triumph waits — Hallelujah ! Lift your heads, eternal gates! Hallelujah! Christ has vanquish'd death and sin, Hallelujah ! Take the King of Glory in.

Lo! the heaven its Lord receives !
Yet He loves the earth He leaves;
Though returning to His throne,
Still He calls mankind His own.

THE eternal gates lift up their heads,

The doors are open'd wide, The King of Glory is gone up

Unto His Father's side.

And ever on our earthly path

A gleam of glory lies,
A light still breaks behind the cloud

That veils Thee from our eyes.

Thou art gone in before us, Lord,

Thou hast prepared a place,
That we may be where now Thou art,

And look upon Thy face.

Lift up our hearts, lift up our minds,

And let Thy grace be given,
That while we linger yet below

Our treasure be in heaven.

That, where Thou art at God's right hand,

Our hope, our love may be:
Dwell in us now, that we may dwell

For evermore in Thee.

O SAVIOUR, who for man hast trod And thence the Church, Thy chosen Bride,

The winepress of the wrath of God, With countless gifts of grace supplied, Ascend, and claim again on high

Through all her members draws from Thee Thy glory left for us to die.

Her hidden life of sanctity. A radiant cloud is now Thy seat,

O Christ, our Lord, of Thy dear care,
And earth lies stretch'd beneath Thy feet; Thy lowly members heavenward bear;
Ten thousand thousands round Thee sing, Be ours with Thee to suffer pain,
And share the triumph of their King. With Thee for evermore to reign.
The Angel-host enraptured waits : All praise from every heart and tongue
"Lift up your heads, eternal gates!' To T'hee, ascended Lord, be sung;
O God-and-Man! the Father's throne All praise to God the Father be,
Is now for evermore Thine own.

And Holy Ghost eternally.
Our great High-Priest and Shepherd Thou
Within the veil art enter'd now,
To offer there Thy precious blood
Once pour'd on earth a cleansing flood.

There Thy face unclouded see,
Find our heaven of heavens in Thee.
There before Thy footstool fall,
There confess Thee Lord of all;
There our crowns before Thee cast,
There proclaim, while heaven shall last,
Glory to the Father, Son,
Holy Spirit, Three in One,
As it was, is now, shall be,
In His own eternity.

MASTER, Lord, to Thee

we cry
On Thy throne exalted high ;
See Thy faithful servants, see!
Ever gazing up to Thee.
Grant, though parted from our sight,
High above yon azure height,
Grant our hearts may thither rise,
Following Thee beyond the skies.
Ever may we upwards move,
Wafted on the wings of love;
Looking when our Lord shall come,
Longing for our heavenly home;
There may we with Thee remain,
Partners of Thine endless reign;

JERedemption's only spring.

O may Thy mighty love prevail

Our sinful souls to spare ! our hope, our heart's desire,

O may we come before Thy throne,

And find acceptance there!
Creator of the world art Thou,
Its Saviour and its King.

All praise to Thee who dost ascend
How vast the mercy and the love,

Triumphantly to heaven;

All praise to God the Father's Name,
Which laid our sins on Thee,
And led Thee to a cruel death,

And Holy Ghost, be given.
To set Thy people free!
But now the bonds of death are burst,
The ransom has been paid ;

A -
And Thou art on Thy Father's throne,

In glorious robes array'd.
