FAMILY PRAYERS, FROM OR IN THE STYLE OF THE LITURGY; WITH OCCASIONAL PRAYERS AND THANKSGIVINGS, BY DR. HAMMOND, BP. ANDREWS, AND OTHERS. OT Cambridge: DEIGHTON, BELL, AND CO. LONDON: BELL AND DALDY. NOTICE. HIS Collection of Prayers is little more than an abridgment, with adaptations, of an old compilation dated 1704, which is now difficult to meet with. The Editor conceived that he would be rendering a service to Church of England Families by causing to be reprinted a set of Forms which appeared to him the whole better suited to their purpose than any others he had been able to procure. Psalms can be omitted, or read in whole or in part at the beginning or in the middle of the Service; and the longer Morning and Evening Prayers with the forms of Thanksgiving can be substituted occasionally for the prayers in the daily course.
