of you lay by him in store, as God hath prospered him.-1 Cor. xvi. 2. OUR Then all kneeling. Lord, have mercy upon us. UR Father, Which art in heaven, Hallowed be Thy Name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, As it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, As we forgive them that trespass against us. And lead us not into temptation; But deliver us from evil: For Thine is the kingdom, The power, and the glory, For ever and ever. Amen. O Lord, open Thou our lips. And our mouth shall shew forth Thy praise. To be said or sung. ALL praise to Thee, my God, this night, Teach me to live, that I may dread Praise God, from Whom all blessings flow; The fear of the Lord is to hate evil. Psalms. PSALM CXI. I WILL give thanks unto the Lord with my whole heart secretly among the faithful, and in the congregation. : The works of the Lord are great sought out of all them that have pleasure therein. : His work is worthy to be praised, and had in honour and His righteousness endureth for ever. The merciful and gracious Lord hath so done His marvellous works: that they ought to be had in remembrance. He hath given meat unto them that fear Him: He shall ever be mindful of His covenant. He hath shewed His people the power of His works that He may give them the heritage of the heathen. : The works of His hands are verity and judgment all His commandments are true. : They stand fast for ever and ever and are done in truth and equity. He sent redemption unto His people: He hath commanded His covenant for ever; holy and reverend is His Name. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom : a good understanding have all they that do thereafter; the praise of it endureth for ever. : Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be world without end. : PSALM CXII. Amen. : BLESSED is the man that feareth the Lord : he hath great delight in His commandments. His seed shall be mighty upon earth the generation of the faithful shall be blessed. Riches and plenteousness shall be in his house and his righteousness endureth for ever. Unto the godly there ariseth up light in the darkness he is merciful, loving, and righteous. A good man is merciful, and lendeth and will guide his words with discretion. : : : : For he shall never be moved and the righteous shall be had in everlasting remembrance. He will not be afraid of any evil tidings: for his heart standeth fast, and believeth in the Lord. His heart is established, and will not shrink: until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed abroad, and given to the poor and his righteousness remaineth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour. The ungodly shall see it, and it shall grieve him he shall gnash with his teeth, and consume away; the desire of the ungodly shall perish. Glory be to the Father, &c. PSALM CXIX. TEACH me, O Lord, the way of Thy statutes: and I shall keep it unto the end. Give me understanding, and I shall keep Thy law: yea, I shall keep it with my whole heart. Make me to go in the path of Thy commandments for therein is : my desire. : Incline my heart unto Thy testimonies and not to covetousness. O turn away mine eyes, lest they behold vanity and quicken Thou me in Thy way. Ostablish Thy word in Thy servant : may fear Thee. that I Take away the rebuke that I am afraid of: for Thy judgments are good. Behold, my delight is in Thy commandments : O quicken me in Thy righteousness. Glory be to the Father, &c. As it was in the beginning, &c. LESSON. I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. For it is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy Name, O Thou most highest. It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of GOD. The word of the LORD is quick and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. To the King, Eternal, Immortal, Invisible, the only wise GOD, be honour and glory for ever and ever. Amen. Thanks be to God. BELIEVE in God the Father Almighty, And in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord, Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, Born of the Virgin Mary, Suffered under Pontius Pilate, Was crucified, dead, and buried, He descended into hell; The third day He rose again from the dead, He ascended into heaven, And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; The holy Catholick Church, The Communion of Saints; The Forgiveness of sins; The Resurrection of the body; And the life everlasting. Amen. Let us pray. Then let all, kneeling, pray. Vouchsafe, O Lord, to keep us This night without sin. Have mercy upon us. O Lord, let Thy mercy be shewed upon us, |
