1. As you read the foregoing sentences, mention every adjective, and tell what it modifies.

2. Point out every adjective used in the predicate of a sentence to show what is asserted.

3. Mention the articles used, and tell of what kind each is.

4. Copy from the sentences every adjective which expresses (a) a quality, (b) quantity or number, (c) action.

5. Copy every adjective derived from a proper noun.

6. Copy every noun or pronoun used as an adjective. Check those which denote possession.

Qualifying Adjectives.

1. In these sentences, mention every adjective that expresses a quality, and tell what it modifies:
