In this village, July 7th, John Curtis, aged 61 years, 4 months and 20 days.

One after another our oldest citi. zens are going the way of all the eartb." This community was startled on Monday morning by the sad in. telligence of the sudden death of Mr. John Curtis, the well known bardware dealer of this village, which occurred between 3 and 4 o'clock.He was enjoying his usual health, and attended church on Sunday morning and was at bis accustomed place in the M. E. Sunday School Sunday afternoon. At the tea table in the evening he was stricken with paralysis, and died as above stated. Mr. Curtis was widely known and highly respected in the community and his loks will he deeply felt. He was distinguished for his industrious habits, close application to business, honorable and upright dealing, bis charitable disposition, and excellent social qualities. Quiet, unassuming, but sincere in his bearing toward all, he had the respect of ail who knew him. His funeral was largely attended on Wednesday from his late residence. The remains were interred in the M. E. cburcb Cemetery in this village.
