,
How I wonder what you are!
Up above the world so high,
Like a diamond in the sky.

When the blazing sun is gone,
When he nothing shines upon,
Then you show your little light,
Twinkle, twinkle, all the night.

Then the traveller in the dark
Thanks

you
for

your tiny spark: He could not see which

did not twinkle so.

to go,

In the dark blue sky you keep,
And often through my curtains peep;

THERE
THERE were three jovial

huntsmen, As I have heard them say, And they would go a-hunting

All on a summer's day. All the day they hunted,

And nothing could they find But a ship a-sailing,

A-sailing with the wind.

One said it was a ship,

The other said nay;
The third said it was a house

With the chimney blown away.

And all the night they hunted,

And nothing could they find But the moon a-gliding,

A-gliding with the wind.

One said it was the moon,

The other said nay;
The third said it was a cheese,

And half o't cut away.

11.

WHEN the snow is

THEN the snow is on the ground,

Little Robin Redbreast grieves ; For no berries can be found,

And on the trees there are no leaves.

The air is cold, the worms are hid;

For this poor bird what can be done? We'll strew him here some crumbs of bread,

And then he 'll live till the snow is gone.
