TWINKLE, twinkle, little star;
1 How I wonder what you are! Up above the world so high, Like a diamond in the sky.
When the blazing sun is gone,
Then the traveller in the dark
In the dark blue sky you keep,
As your bright and tiny spark
W HEN the snow is on the ground,
Little Robin Redbreast grieves;
And on the trees there are no leaves.
The air is cold, the worms are hid;
For this poor bird what can be done? We'll strew him here some crumbs of bread,
And then he 'll live till the snow is gone.
