Grand Master-elect, Louis Block... 48 51 49 52 50 ILLUSTRATIONS PUBLIC EXERCISES PRIOR TO OPENING OF GRAND LODGE A CCORDING to arrangements made by the Grand Master with the local committee, the Grand and Past Grand Officers and members of the Grand Lodge assembled at 8:45 A. M., Tuesday, June 13, A. D. 1911, in front of the Masonic Library building on First avenue. The line was formed by Grand Marshal Ralph G. Smith (335) and his assistants and was escorted by Apollo Commandery, No. 26, Knights Templar, Sir Knight Martin Evans, Eminent Commander, and Chas. A. Dieman, acting Captain-General, headed by the Fifty-third Regiment Band, over the route designated by the local committee to Greene's Opera House where the following preliminary exercises were held. Arrangements were made whereby a large number of citizens and members of the fraternity, together with the Order of the Eastern Star were present. When all were seated in the Opera House, Deputy Grand Master T. J. Davis (6) called the assembly to order and requested Brother Charles T. Granger (154) as the oldest Past Grand Master in rank of service present to escort the Most Worshipful Grand Master, Brother Frederick W. Craig (110) to the Grand East, when he was received with the publie Grand Honors. Grand Master Frederick W. Craig (110), on assuming the station, introduced the chairman of the local committee, Worshipful Master Amor II.
