AN ACT authorizing allowances in aid of Agricultural-Asgociations.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the Board of Com. State of Indiana, That the Board of Commissioners of any which may make county, containing taxable property of the value of twenty Generals and to millions of dollars or more, as shown by the tax duplicate Agricultural Soof such county for the year 1876, may, in their discretion, nation. make an allowance out of the general fund of such county to any agricultural society, or organization having for its purpose the promotion of the agricultural and horticultural interests of the county, already or hereafter organized, subject to the provisions in the next section contained.
SEC. 2. Before any such allowance shall be made, the Before allow. president or secretary of the association shall file with said ance shall be board, his sworn statement, showing the name and date of or Secretary of organization of such association, and the amount expended shall file sworn for fair grounds and permanent improvements thereon, and showing, what. the amount due or necessary to be expended to complete such improvements, wbereupon, the board may make such Amount which allowance as they shall deem necessary, not exceeding in the allow. aggregate, the sum of ten thousand dollars, and not exceeding one-half the amount shown by such statement to have been expended on such grounds and improvements.
Sec. 3.
