No. 15 or Baie XV. Electoral Division No. 15 or Baie St. Paul, shall comprise townships 7, 8, 9, 10, 11 and 12, ranges 3 and 4, west, together with the parish of Baie St. Paul.

XVIII. Electoral Division No. 18 or Winnipeg, shall Winnipeg be identical with the limits of the City of Winnipeg.

XX. Electoral Division No. 20, or Springfield, shall comprise townships 11 and 12, range 4, East, fractional and townships 10, 11 and I2, ranges 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10 East, with those part of the Parishes of Kildonan, St. Paul and St. John's, East of Red River.

XXI. Electoral Division No. 21 or St. Andrew's East, shall comprise that portion of the Parishes of St. Andrew's South, St. Andrew's North, St. Clements and St. Peters, East of Red River, together with townships 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17, ranges 5 (fractional) 6, 7, 8, 9 and 10, east.

XXII. Electoral Division No. 22 or St. Andrews West, shall comprise those portions of the Parishes of St. Andrew's South, St. Andrew's North, St. Clements and St. Peters, West of Red River, with East half of

XXVII. CAP. XIX.

An Act to amend the Act to regulate the sale of Intoxicating Liquors and granting of Licenses in this Province.

[Assented to 25th June, 1879.]

WHEREAS, it is expedient to amend the Act passed Preamble. in the 41st year of Her Majesty's reign, intituled: "An Act to regulate the sale of Intoxicating Liquors and granting of Licenses in this Province," therefore,

HER MAJESTY by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Assembly of the Province of Manitoba, enacts as follows:

I. Section six of the said Act is hereby amended by Sec. G of striking out the words, "The Chairman one-half and amended as the two other Commissioners one-quarter" in the ninth follows. and tenth lines of said section, and substituting therefor the words, the chairman, five dollars and the two other commissioners three dollars and fifty cents each, and by striking out in the twelfth line of said section the words "Seven dollars and fifty cents," and substituting therefor the words "Twelve dollars."

II. Section ten of said Act is hereby amended by Sec. 10 striking out the words "twenty-five dollars," and sub- follows. stituting therefor the words "fifteen dollars," and adding thereto in equal instalments of five dollars for each. inspection, upon proof to satisfaction of the commissioners that such inspection has been made by him as provided in said Act.

cation for a license to sell intoxicating liquors outside of the City of Winnipeg, shall be made in writing (Form D.) within thirty days immediately preceding the first days of February, June and October in each year and no application for such license shall be received after such dates or accepted by the Commissioner, and such applicant shall first produce to the Commissioners the Provincial Treasurer's certificate that the license fee has been paid.

V. Section nineteen of said Act is hereby amended by adding after the word Act in the seventh line of said section the words "except that the fee required to be paid for such transfer shall only be to the Inspector five dollars and to the License Commissioners six dollars to be paid to them in equal proportions.

VI. Section twenty-one of the said Act is hereby amended as amended by striking out the words "for the period of five years," and substituting therefor the words "for such period as the Justice or Judge trying the said offence may order and direct not exceeding five years," and by adding to said section the words "and for which purpose power is hereby given to such Justice or Judge.

VII. Section twenty-five of the said Act is hereby amended by striking out the words "at least five years" after the word "for" in the sixth line of said section, and substituting therefor the words "such period as the convicting Justice or Judge may order and direct, not exceeding five years.
