approval of the State Board of Health. On the first day of July of each year the secretary of the board of said sanatorium on the approved list, shall report under oath to the State Board of Health, the character of the work done and the treatment given, the number and names of the persons employed and patients treated and on said date remaining in such sanatorium, the amount contributed by said county or counties for the support of such sanatorium, and such other matters as may be required by the State Board of Health. Upon the receipt of such report, if it shall appear that the sanatorium has been maintained in a satisfactory manner, the secretary of the State Board of Health shall make a certificate to that effect, together with the cost of maintenance for the year and the amount actually contributed by each county therefor, and file it with the Auditor General. Upon receiving such certificate the Auditor General shall draw his warrant payable to the treasurer of each county contributing toward the maintenance of such sanatorium, for a sum equal to one-half the amount actually contributed by said county for the support of such sanatorium for the preceding year: Provided, That the total sum so paid as State aid shall not exceed the sum of three thousand dollars for any one sanatorium in any one year. The Auditor General shall annually, beginning in the year nineteen hundred eighteen, include and apportion in the State tax such sums as shall have been so paid."

And further to inform the Senate that, as thus amended, the House of Representatives has passed the bill.

And further to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has amended the title of the bill so as to read as follows:

A bill to amend section 2 of Act No. 139 of the Public Acts of 1909, entitled "An act relative to the maintenance and construction of hospitals and sanatorium within the counties of this State and to provide a tax to raise moneys therefor," said amended section being section 10855 of the Compiled Laws of 1915," and to add a new section to be known as section 5.

A bill to amend section 27 of Act No. 205 of the Public Acts of 1887, entitled "An act to revise the laws authorizing the business of banking and to establish a banking department for the supervision of such business," being compiler's section 6116 of the Compiled Laws of 1897, as amended by Act No. 262 of the Public Acts of 1905 and Act No. 322 of the Public Acts of 1907, and Act No. 44 of the Public Acts of 1913.

And to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has amended the bill as follows:

1. Amend by inserting in line 29 of section 27 after the word "district" the words "Provided further, That bonds of foreign governments and municipalities shall first be approved by the Banking Commissioner."

2. By striking out of lines 9 and 10 of section 27 the words "or bonds or other interest bearing obligations of any foreign government." 3. By striking out all of line 13 of section 27 after the word "debt" also strike out all of lines 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18.

4. By striking out of lines 2 and 3 of the amendment inserted in line 29 of section 27 as recommended, by the Committee on Private Corporations the words "Banking Commissioner" and inserting in lieu thereof the words "Securities Commission as hereinafter provided for." And further to inform the Senate that, as thus amended, the House of Representatives has passed the bill.

A bill to amend sections 1, 2 and 6 of Act No. 271 of the Public Acts of 1915, entitled "An act to regulate the selling of steamship or railroad tickets or orders for transportation to and from foreign countries, and the receipt of deposits of money for the purpose of transmitting the same or equivalent thereof, to foreign counties," and to add a new section to said act to stand as section 8 thereof, being sections 7158, 7159 and 7163 of the Compiled Laws of 1915.

And to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has amended the bill as follows:

1. By inserting in section 6 line 2 after the words "travelers checks” the words "or the receipt of deposits of money for the purposes of transmitting the same or the equivalent thereof to foreign countries."

2. Amend section 8 line 3 by inserting at the end of the first sentence thereof the following: "except persons, firms and corporations excepted or exempted from the provisions hereof."

And further to inform the Senate that, as thus amended, the House of Representatives has passed the bill.

And to inform the Senate that the House of Representatives has amended the bill as follows:

1. Amend by inserting in line 24 of section 2 after the word "fish" the words "at the mouth of the Saginaw River."

2. By striking out of line 25 of section 2 the word "five" and inserting in lieu thereof the word “one.”

And further to inform the Senate that, as thus amended, the House of Representaives has passed the bill.
