The debt due to the State, by the Lawrenceburg and Indianapolis Rail Road Company, has been paid, and the mortgages discharged and surrendered; or assigned and delivered to the payers thereof; in conformity with the special law of 1843. Excepting two cases that appear to be in arrears, one for a small balance of interest yet due, and both for proportion of losses assessed under the provisions of said special law. The sums unpaid amount in the aggregate, to five hundred and sixty-four dollars and fifty

seven cents.

The mortgages given in those cases are on file, and are supposed to furnish ample security for the payment of the amount.

All which is respectfully submitted.
