JOHN BROWN HAD A LITTLE INDIAN.

ONE, TWO, THREE.

1, 2, 3, 4, 5,
I caught a hare alive;
6, 7, 8, 9, 10,
I let her go again.

JACK AND JILL.

Jack and Jill went up the hill,
To fetch a pail of water;

Jack fell down and broke his crown,
And Jill came tumbling after.

JOHN BROWN HAD A LITTLE INDIAN.

John Brown had a little Indian,

John Brown had a little Indian,

John Brown had a little Indian,

One little Indian boy;

One little, two little, three little Indians,

Four little, five little, six little Indians,
Seven little, eight little, nine little Indians,
Ten little Indian boys.

THE FACE.

Brow bender,

Eye peeper,

Nose smeller,

Mouth eater,

Chin chopper.

Knock at the door,

Peep in;

Lift up the latch,
Walk in.

SONG SET TO FIVE FINGERS.

1. This little pig went to market; 2. This little pig staid at home; 3. This little pig had roast meat; 4. This little pig had none; 5. This little pig cried "Wee, wee, I can't find my way home."

RUB-A-DUB-DUB.

SHOE THE COLT.

Shoe the colt,

Shoe the colt,

Shoe the wild mare;

Here a nail,

There a nail,

Yet she goes bare.

RIDE A COCK-HORSE TO BANBURY-CROSS.

Ride a cock-horse to Banbury-cross,

To see an old lady upon a white horse,
Rings on her fingers, and bells on her toes,
And so she makes music wherever she goes.

RUB-A-DUB-DUB.

Rub a-dub-dub,

Three men in a tub,

And who do you think was there?

The butcher, the baker,

The candle-stick maker,

And all of them going to the fair.

DIDDLE, DIDDLE, DUMPLING.

Diddle, diddle, dumpling, my son John
Went to bed with his stockings on;
One shoe off, the other shoe on,
Diddle, diddle, dumpling, my son John.

HEY! DIDDLE, DIDDLE.

Hey! diddle, diddle,

The cat and the fiddle,

The cow jumped over the moon;

The little dog laugh'd

To see such craft,

And the dish ran away with the spoon.

CUSHEY COW BONNY.

Cushey cow bonny, let down thy milk,
And I will give thee a gown of silk;
A gown of silk and a silver tee,
If thou wilt let down thy milk to me.

THERE'S no use crying over spilt milk.

THERE WAS AN OLD MAN.

LITTLE MISS MUFFETT.

Little Miss Muffett

She sat on a tuffett,

Eating of curds and whey;
There came a black spider,

And sat down beside her,

Which frightened Miss Muffett away.

THE OLD WOMAN WHO LIVED IN A SHOE.

There was an old woman who lived in a shoe, She had so many children she didn't know what

to do;

She gave them some broth without any bread, She whipped them all soundly and put them to bed.

THERE WAS AN OLD MAN.

There was an old man,

And he had a calf,

And that's half;

He took him out of the stall,

And put him on the wall;

And that's all.
