wind blows over the great wide fields and down the streets.

The Earth is beautifully dressed. The green grass, the pretty flowers, and the tall trees grow on the Earth's breast.

The wind whirls the leaves on the trees

and bends the boughs toward the river. The water curls around the rocks.

HENRY'S HOME.

Henry lives many miles from any large city. There are not many people in the country around Henry's home.

His father tells him about the great cities with the houses and stores.

Henry thinks that some time he will go to one of the large cities. But he says that if he ever goes to a city, he must take Bess, his cow, Prince, his horse, his five little pigs, his hens, his dog, and the old white cat and her kittens.

Where, in the city, could Henry find a place for his pets?

Near Henry's home is a lake in which there are little isles. Henry's father has a house on one of the isles. The water curls all around the isle.

Not far from his home are high cliffs which are near the water.

There is a great river near the house. It flows into the lake. The waters sing as they go on and on to the wide lake.

When they curl around the banks, the

flowers seem to bend down to kiss them. Henry and his dog play on the river bank.
