rose again for us, so we also should walk in newness of life; Give us grace, we humbly beseech Thee, to live in continual remembrance of our baptismal vows; clothe us with the armour of righteousness on the right hand and on the left, that having been signed with the sign of the Cross, we may fight manfully under Christ's banner against sin, the world, and the devil, and continue His faithful soldiers and servants unto our lives' end, through the same thy Son Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

O LORD, our heavenly Father, who hast made us and all mankind, and who dost preserve and govern all things in heaven and earth; We beseech Thee to have compassion on all men. Bless our sovereign Lady the Queen, and all in authority

over us. May we be a people serving Thee and working righteousness. We pray for the good estate of the Catholic Church; upon all bishops and pastors of Thy flock send down Thy heavenly blessing, that Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations. Finally, we commend unto Thee, O Lord, all for whom we should pray, specially those who, in this transitory life, are in trouble, sorrow, need, sickness, or any other adversity. Give them Give them patience under their sufferings, and a happy issue out of all their afflictions; for Jesus Christ's sake. Amen.

Then shall follow the Collect for the day.

O GOD, our heavenly Father, who by the rest of Thy holy day and by the slumbers of the night past hast restored our souls and refreshed our

bodies; Accept, we beseech Thee, this our morning sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving. Thy goodness endureth yet daily, and Thou crownest our lives with lovingkindness and tender mercies. May that goodness lead us ever to a more earnest trust in Thy love, and a more patient submission to Thy holy will. Help us to carry into our daily life the lessons we received on Thy day past in Thy holy house, that being not hearers only, but doers of Thy word, we may bring forth the fruits of righteousness to Thy honour and glory; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Then shall all say-**

THE grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Ghost, be with us all evermore. Amen.

MONDAY EVENING.

But Thou, O Lord, have mercy upon us, miserable of
