seech Thee, O Lord, to raise us from the death of sin unto the life of righteousness, that we may be ready for His appearing. And grant, that those who shall depart this life before His coming may rest in Him, and that we may all, at the general resurrection in the last day, be found acceptable in Thy sight, and receive that blessing which Thy well-beloved Son shall then pronounce to all that love and fear Thee, saying, Come, ye blessed of My Father, receive the kingdom prepared for you from the beginning of the world. Grant this, we beseech Thee, most merciful Father, through Jesus Christ our Mediator and Redeemer. Amen.

TUESDAY MORNING.

The Psalms or Lesson being ended, and all kneeling, the Beader shall say,

V. O Lord, show Thy mercy upon

R. And grant us Thy salvation.

V. O Lord, save the Queen;

R. And mercifully hear us when we call upon Thee.

V. Endue Thy ministers with righteousness;

O LORD, our heavenly Father, almighty and everlasting God, who hast safely brought us to the beginning of this day; Defend us in the same with Thy mighty power, and grant that this day we fall into no sin, neither run into any kind of danger; but that all our doings may be ordered by Thy governance, to do always that is righteous in Thy sight; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

ALMIGHTY GOD, we give Thee thanks that of Thy goodness Thou hast watched over us during the night past,

and hast brought us to see the light of another day. Strengthen us by Thy grace, that we may spend this day in Thy faith and fear, and in seeking Thy glory and the good of those around us. Lead us into the paths of righteousness for Thy Name's sake; cause us to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning, for in Thee do we trust. Make us to know the way wherein we should walk, for we lift up our souls unto Thee. Defend us Thy servants, O Lord, with Thy heavenly grace, that we may continue Thine for ever, and daily increase in Thy Holy Spirit more and more, until we come to Thy everlasting kingdom; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
