This volume is compiled on the system of the main digest with the same subject heads and with identically numbered black-letter index lines for matter classified under these main subject heads. This method of classification furnishes easy and certain access to all the decisions bearing on any given point of law. The system used in both digests is the Key Number System employed in the classification of the American Digests, and its use in this digest is sanctioned by the West Publishing Company, its originators and owners.
