CAP. XVIII.

BARBADOS.

An Act to appoint trustees of the St. Mary's Schools, and to vest the trust funds in such trustees.

E it enacted by the Governor, Council and Assembly of this island, and by the authority of the same, as follows:

1. All property real and personal lately vested in or belonging to the combined committee or trustees of "The Society of the St. Mary's Schools and Barbados Orphan Home and Asylum for destitute children” is hereby vested in the members for the time being of the school committee of the St. Mary's schools appointed under the provisions of "The Education Act, 1890," and in their successors in office upon trust for the use and benefit of the said schools.

2. Subject to the provisions of "The Education Act, 1890" the said committee shall have absolute and sole control of the said property and shall have power to expend any moneys from time to time coming to them (including any moneys vested in them by this Act) in the repairs, upkeep and improvement of the school buildings or otherwise for the benefit of the schools.

3. Any act or thing which the committee have power to do or perform may be done or performed by any two of them.

Read three times and passed the General Assembly the first day of November one thousand eight hundred and ninety two.

BARBADOS.

An Act to continue various expiring Laws.

HEREAS the several Acts mentioned

in the columns one and two of the schedule to this Act annexed, are limited to expire at the times specified in respect thereof in column three of the said schedule; And Whereas it is expedient to continue such Acts for the times mentioned respectively in column four of the said schedule; Be it therefore enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly of this island, and by the authority of the same as follows:

1. This Act may be cited for all purposes as" The Expiring Laws Continuance Act, 1892."

2. The Acts mentioned in column one of the schedule to this Act annexed are hereby continued until and inclusive of the dates respectively specified in column four of the said schedule, and any enactment amending or affecting the enactments contained by this Act are also in like manner continued.

Short title.

Acts mentioned in Schedule continued until 31st December, 1891.

BARBADOS.

An Act to grant a sum of money out of the public treasury and to appropriate the same for the service of the year ending the 31st day of December one thousand eight hundred and ninety three.

WHEREAS it is deemed expedient to

grant the sum of forty seven thousand nine hundred and thirty three pounds three shillings and eight pence out of the public treasury for making good the supply granted for the service of the year ending on the thirty first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety three, and to appropriate the said sum in the manner hereinafter mentioned; Be it therefore enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly of this Island, and by the authority of the same as follows;

1. This Act may be cited for all purposes Short title. as "The Appropriation Act, 1893."

2. The Colonial Treasurer for the time Grant of £47,933 3.8. being may issue out of the public treasury on the warrant of the Governor-in-Executive Committee and apply for making good the supply granted for the service of the year ending the thirty first day of December one thousand eight hundred and ninety three, the sum of forty seven thousand nine hundred and thirty three pounds three shillings and eight-pence.

4.
