any subsequent Act relating to the revision of the statute law and the printing of the new edition of the laws. CAP XXXVIII. (Assented to 18th April, 1893.) BARBADOS. An Act for further promoting the revision of the Statute Law. E it enacted by the Governor, Council, and Assembly of this Island and by the authority of the same, as follows; 1. This Act may be cited as "The Statute Short title. Law Revision Act, (No. 2) 1893." 2. The Act of the 30th March 1837 entitled, "An Act for the relief of insolvent debtors within this island," and the Act of the 7th February, 1873, entitled, "An Ato to remunerate the parochial treasurers for their trouble in issuing dog licenses, to compensate them for their services as vestry clerks, and to provide them with offices, are hereby respectively repealed. and Repeal 1891. 3. The Act of the 20th of January, 1890 Reprinting in new entitled shortly, "The Professorship of editions of Acts of Chemistry and Government Laboratory Act, 20th January, 1890, 1890" shall in printing the new edition of 15th August, the Laws be printed as part 1 of the Act of the 15th of August, 1891, providing for the appointment of an assistant to the Island Professor of Chemistry, its title and preamble being omitted. In lieu of the present title of the said Act of the 15th of August, 1891, the following title shall be printed "An Act to consolidate the law relating to Repeal Repeal Amends "The 1890." "the Island Professor of Chemistry, the "Assistant Professor and the Government "Laboratory." When such reprint is made the said Act of the 20th of January 1890 shall be omitted from the new edition of the laws. 4. "The Superannuation (Refund of Contributions) Act, 1890" is hereby repealed. Provided always that such repeal shall not affect any rights acquired under that Act. 5. Section 3 of the Act of the 8th of March 1890 providing for the reporting and publishing of the debates of the Legislative Council and the House of Assembly is hereby repealed. 6. (1.) The words "in a summary manner Bank Holidays Act before a police magistrate" shall be substituted for the words "as in the case of servants wages" in section 5 of The Bank Holidays Act, 1890; and the following paragraph, to be numbered 15, shall be added to section 6 of the said Act, namely, Amends The Co Act, 1390. 15. The business of manufacturing sulphuric acid in this island. (2.) The Act of the 2nd October, 1891, entitled, An Act to except the manufacture of sulphuric acid in this island from the operation of The Bank Holidays Act, 1890, is hereby repealed. 7. In "The Co-operative Factories Act, 1890" operative Factories the part of section 10 from the words" section two section six" to the words " Act 1884" shall be omitted and in lieu thereof the following shall be inserted; " section two section six to fifteen (both included) sections thirty three, thirty four, thirty-six, thirtyeight and forty and sections forty two to forty-five, both included, of the Bridgetown. Tramways Company, Limited Act, 1891" and "1891" shall be inserted in lieu of "1884" at the end of that section. 8. In "The Settlement of the Poor and Bas Amends "The Settlement of the Poor tardy Act 1890" the words" in a summary and Bastardy Act, manner" shall be substituted for the words 1890" "as in the case of servants wages in sections four, nine, and eleven. 9. In "The District Auctioneers Act, 1890" Amends "The Disthe words as aforesaid" occurring in trict Auctioneers Act section two shall be omitted, and in 1890" section 14, line 12, after the words "of this Act," insert the words and in case of dispute the amount thereof to be settled summarily by the Court from which the execution issued and in section 17 substitute' the words "in a summary manner" for the words" as in the case of servants wages." 10. Section Sof "The Agricultural Society' Act, 1890," is hereby repealed; and the words as in the case of servants' wages" occurring in section seven shall be omitted. Repeal 11. The Saint Michael's Parish Rating Repeal and Loan Act, 1890 is hereby repealed. Amends "The 12. In The Bay Street Improvement Street Improvement Act, 1890," section 4, "The Compulsory Powers (Land) Act 1888" shall be substituted for "The Lands for Public Undertakings Acquisition Act, 1888." The words "in a summary manner before a police magistrate" shall be substituted for the words "as in the case of servants wages" occurring in section 16 of "The Colonial Secretary's Office Act, 1890." 16. The words "in a summary manner" shall be substituted for the words "in the same manner as servants wages" occurring in section 44 of the Police Act, 1890; the words "recovered in a summary manner" shall in each case be substituted for the words "levied and raised as in the case of servants wages" occurring in sections 47 and 48 of the said Act; the words "in a summary manner" shall be substituted for the words "as in the case of servants wages" occurring in section 67 of the said Act; and section 114 of the said Act is hereby repealed. 17. The Act of the 14th of June 1890 entitled "An Act to amend the Saint "Michael's Parish Rating and Loan Act 1890" is hereby repealed. 18. In "The Liquor License Act 1899" the quor License Act, following amendments shall be made. (1) in section 4 sub-section 2 the words "in a summary manner" shall be sub 1890" stituted for the words " as in the case of servants wages" (2) Section 5 shall be repealed and the following section shall be substituted therefor: Every license to be issued by the Colonial Treasurer under the authority of this Act shall be made terminable on the fifteenth day of January, in the year next succeeding the year in which it was issued. (3.) in section 24 the words "not come into operation until the first day of January one thousand eight hundred and ninetyone and" are hereby repealed. Amends "The Ap 19. The Act of the 22nd July 1890 entitled "An Act to provide for a loan from the public treasury to the Governing Body of Queen's College" is hereby repealed. 23. In "The Lunatics Act 1890 " the words "five hundred pounds" shall be substituted for the words "four hundred pounds" in section five, and the words "an execution issued by a police magistrate" shall be substituted for the Repeal.
