House bill No. 561, entitled

A bill to provide for the giving of notice to makers of promissory notes by the holders thereof, of the dates on which such paper will become due. Respectfully report that they have had the same under consideration. and have directed me to report the same back to the House with amendments thereto, recommending that the amendments be concurred in, and that the bill, when so amended, do pass, and ask to be discharged from the further consideration of the subject.

In the passage of which the Senate has concurred by a majority vote of all the Senators elect, and by a vote of two-thirds of all the Senators elect has ordered the same to take immediate effect.

Whereas, Hon. James B. Angell, president of the University of Mich. igan, has kindly extended an invitation to the Legislature to visit that institution; therefore,

Resolved (the Senate concurring), That the invitation be accepted, and that the Legislature leave for Ann Arbor on the morning of Friday, April 7, prox., to make such visit, and that no extra compensation or mileage be allowed therefor.
