The President announced that there was not a quorum of the Senate present.

Mr. McMullen moved that the Senate adjourn.

The motion prevailed, the time being 9:05 o'clock a. m., and the President declared the Senate adjourned until Monday, May 27, at 9 o'clock p. m.
