THE man in the moon
Came tumbling down,
And ask'd his way to Norwich.
He went by the south,

And burnt his mouth

With supping cold pease-porridge.

THERE was an old woman

Lived under a hill,
She put a mouse in a bag,

And sent it to mill;

The miller did swear

By the point of his knife,

He never took toll

Of a mouse in his life!

SHAKE a leg, wag a leg, when will you gang? At midsummer, mother, when the days are lang.

As I was going up the hill,

I met with Jack the piper,

And all the tunes that he could play
Was "Tie your clothes up tighter."

I tied them once, I tied them twice,
I tied them three times over;
And all the songs that he could sing
Was "Carry me safe to Dover."

O RARE Harry Parry,
When will you marry?

When apples and pears are ripe.
I'll come to your wedding,
Without any bidding,

And dance with your bride all night.
