TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1870.

The General Assembly of the State of South Carolina begun and holden at Columbia, on the fourth Tuesday in November, being the twenty-second day of the month.

In pursuance of the provision of the Constitution, the members of the Senate assembled this day in the State House, in the city of Columbia. At 12 M. Hon. D. T. CORBIN, of Charleston County, acting Lieutenant-Governor and President pro tempore of the Senate, called the Senate to order.

Mr. J. Woodruff, Clerk of the late Senate, called the roll by Counties.
