WEST OXFORD SOCIETY.

1852.

The cattle show and fair of this society, in connection with their annual meeting, was held at Fryeburg, on Thursday and Friday, October 21 and 22, 1852. A very interesting and instructive address was delivered before the members of the society, by Ezekiel Holmes, M. D. [For this address, see Transactions of West Lincoln Society for 1853.] .

Measures were taken to secure the admission of several adjacent towns in New Hampshire, to the privileges of the society.

The following is a list of the officers chosen for 1852:

Richard Davis of Bridgton, Cumberland county, exhibited two fine bulls of the mixed Durham and Ayrshire breed, one three years old, and the other a calf. We would recommend them to the notice of stock growers.
