THE CEREMONY

OF

ADMISSION TO THE CHURCH.

This Office is arranged as well for the Baptism of adults as of children, a special gospel being provided for that purpose.

At the time of the baptism, the candidates, sponsors and witnesses standing near the Font, the Minister shall first recall these words of the Saviour.

Come unto me. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me, and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

if

Behold, I stand at the door and knock any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

Then shall be sung one of the following hymns
Saviour, Who Thy flock art feeding,
With a Shepherd's kindest care, etc.

Or, for those of riper years

Awake, my soul, stretch every nerve,
And press with vigour on, etc.

Then the Minister shall offer this prayer, making the necessary changes for an adult.

Almighty and immortal God, the aid of all who need, the helper of all who flee to Thee for
