A bill to amend section 1 of act No. 265 of the local acts of 1885, entitled "An act to reincorporate the city of Cadillac, and to repeal act No. 254 of the session laws of 1877, entitled 'An act to incorporate the city of Cadillac, and repeal act No. 336 of the session laws of 1875,' approved April 22, 1875, and act No. 304 of the session laws of 1879, entitled 'An act to amend section 1 of act No. 254 of the session laws of 1877,' approved March 20, 1877, entitled 'An act to incorporate the city of Cadillac, and repeal act No. 336 of the session laws of 1875,' approved April 22, 1875,” approved March 6, 1885,

In the passage of which the House has concurred by a majority vote of all the members elect, and by a vote of two-thirds of all the members elect, has ordered the same to take immediate effect.

SIR-I am instructed by the House to retransmit to the Senate the following concurrent resolution:

Resolved by the House (the Senate concurring), That a special joint committee consisting of three members of the House and two from the Senate be appointed by the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate respectively, with power and authority to send for persons, books and papers and employ expert and clerical help if necessary, to investigate the policy, course of study, conduct and general management of the Agricultural College and its property, and submit, if possible, recommendations looking towards an increase in and enlargement of the usefulness of the institution,

Which the Senate amended to read as follows:

Resolved by the House (the Senate concurring), That a special joint committee consisting of three members of the House and three from the Senate be appointed by the Speaker of the House and President of the Senate respectively, with power and authority to send for persons, books and papers, and employ expert and clerical help if necessary, to investigate the policy, course of study, conduct and general management of the Agricultural College and its property, and submit, if possible, recommendations looking toward an increase in and the enlargement of the usefulness of the institution.

And to inform the Senate that in said amendment the House has nonconcurred.

And further to inform the Senate that Messrs. Linderman, Chamberlain and Holdridge have been appointed a committee on the part of the House to act with a like committee on the part of the Senate to consider the matter of difference between the two Houses.
