Be it enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Ohio, That for the protection of the state house and the offices therein, and to prevent improper conduct and trespassing in and about the building and grounds, the adjutantgeneral shall appoint one day policeman and one night Adjutantpoliceman; and to provide for attention of strangers visiting appoint pogeneral to the capitol, he shall appoint a visitors' attendant, who shall licemen and also take proper care of the building and premises in the visitors' atabsence of the day policeman; said policeman and visitors' tendant for attendant shall be appointed for the term of two years, unless sooner removed. The persons so appointed shall take an oath of office and wear a proper uniform and badge of office, and shall have the same authority to make arrests as is or may be vested in the police of cities, and all persons Duties of." arrested by them shall be delivered to the police authorities of the city of Columbus, and dealt with by said authorities in the same manner as persons arrested by the police of said city.
