The Senate resolved itself into Executive Session, the time being 2:20 o'clock p. m.

The Sergeant-at-Arms announced that the Senate Chamber was prepared for the Executive Session.

A quorum of the Senate was present.

Mr. Truettner submitted the following report:

The Committee on Executive Business, to whom was referred the message of the Governor, of date January 8th, 1923, submitting for consideration of the Senate the following nomination to office, namely:

Andrew B. Dougherty, of Elk Rapids, Antrim County, as Attorney General of the State of Michigan, to succeed Hon. Merlin Wiley, resigned. (For term ending December 31, 1924.)

Respectfully report the same back to the Senate, with the recommendation that the Senate advise and consent to the said nomination.

Mr. Truettner moved that the Senate advise and consent to the said nomination to office.
