A message was received from the House of Representatives returning

Senate bill No. 191 (file No. 145), entitled

A bill to amend section 1 of Act No. 115 of the Public Acts of 1915, entitled

"An act to provide for the examination, registration, regulation and licensing of chiropodists, and for the punishment of offenders against this act, and to repeal acts or parts of acts in conflict therewith," being section 6804 of the Compiled Laws of 1915.

The message informed the Senate that the House has amended the bill as follows:

1. Amend by inserting in line 5, enacting section 1, after the word "amended," the following: "and a new section is hereby added to said act to stand as section 8-a, said amended and added sections."

2. Amend by adding a new section to stand as section 8-a and to read as follows:

"Sec. 8-a. Nothing contained in this act shall be construed to prevent or limit the fitting, recommending or selling of appliances, devices or shoes for the prevention, correction or relief of foot ailments or troubles by shoe dealers or others not holding themselves out to the public as chiropodists and the same shall not be considered the practice of chiropody under the terms of this act."

The message further informed the Senate that the House has amended the title to read as follows:
