Together with the proposed Senate amendments to the bill.

The message informed the Senate that the House of Representatives has acceded to the request of the Senate for a conference on the matters of difference between the two Houses relative to the bill, and has named Representatives O'Brien, Butler and Johnson as conferees on the part of the House of Representatives.

The President appointed Senators Connelly, Atwood and Horton as conferees on the part of the Senate at said conference.

Reports of Standing Committees.

Mr. Bernie L. Case submitted the following report:

The Committee on Counties and Townships respectfully reports back to the Senate the following entitled bill with amendments, recommending that the amendments be agreed to and that the bill, as thus amended, do pass: House bill No. 458 (file No. 263), entitled

A bill to amend section 95 of chapter 16 of the Revised Statutes of 1846, entitled "Of the powers and duties of townships, and the election and duties of township officers," being section 2154 of the Compiled Laws of 1915, as last amended by Act No. 57 of the Public Acts of 1921.

The following are the amendments recommended by the committee:

(1) Section 95, line 38 as amended, strike out the words "fifteen million dollars" and insert in lieu thereof the words "eight million dollars."

(2) Section 95, line 38 as amended, strike out the words "twenty-five thousand" and insert in lieu thereof the words "fifteen thousand."

The report was accepted.

A bill to amend section 2 of Act No. 164 of the Public Acts of 1917, entitled "An act to prohibit the driving or operation of motor vehicles by persons under the influence of intoxicating liquors, or of any exhilarating or stupefying drugs, and to provide penalties therefor."

Mr. Ross moved that a respectful message be sent to the House, asking the return to the Senate of House bill No. 313 (file No. 175), entitled

A bill to amend section 1 of Act No. 232 of the Public Acts of 1901, entitled "An act to extend aid to the Michigan Agricultural College," being section 1257 of the Compiled Laws of 1915.
