TOLEDO, ANN ARBOR & NORTHERN. TRAVERSE CITY. REPORT OF THE ADRIAN AND DETROIT RAILROAD Co., For the Year Ending December 31st, 1872. Give the termini, length and line of road, connections, and other characteristics. The termini are Adrian, in Lenawee county, and Saline. in Washtenaw county, all in the State of Michigan. The length of the line is about 25 miles. Intention was to connect at Saline with D.. H. & I. R. R., and at Adrian with A. &. S. L. R. R.. but nothing in the way of consolidating has as yet been done. A contract was let in 1871 to obtain right of way and prepare the road-bed for the iron. The work to go on as fast as the subscriptions can be collected and no faster. About 16 miles of right of way has been purchased, and about 12 miles graded. There has been paid in to the contractor about $45,300. Wm. S. Wilcox, President, and Chas. H. Comstock, Secretary, of the Adrian & Detroit Railroad Company, being duly sworn, depose and say that they have caused the foregoing statements to be prepared by the proper officers and agents of this Company, and having carefully examined the same, declare them to be a true, full, and correct statement of the condition and affairs of said Company, on the thirty-first day of December.
