SEC. 719. The proceedings of the board of county canvassers are minutely prescribed in sections 299-318, ante, and the directions in said sections must be carefully observed and followed.

SEC. 720. The statement may be in the same form as the preceding, varying only as to the description of officers in the caption or heading, and then proceed as follows:

That the whole number of votes given for sheriff, etc. That the whole number of votes given for county clerk, etc.

(When the separate officer, to perform the duties of the office of surrogate, and the local officers to discharge the duties of county judge and surrogate are chosen, the offices and names of the officers should be inserted in the above statement. § 308, ante.)

County clerk to transmit statements to secretary of State.

SEC. 725. The clerk of each county is within twenty days after a general election, and within ten days after a special election, to transmit to the secretary of State a list of the names of the members of assembly, and a list of the names of all the county officers. And in addition to former laws, he is required to give in such lists the place of residence of each of them respectively. § 325, ante. The county clerk is also required to forward to secretary
