Thine for ever! Lord of life,
3 Thine for ever! O how blest
They who find in Thee their rest;
4 Thine for ever! Saviour, keep
These Thy frail and trembling sheep ;
Let us all Thy goodness share.
All our wants by Thee supplied,
THE voice that breathed o'er Eden,
That earliest wedding day,
It hath not passed away.
Of Christian man and maid,
The three-fold grace is said:
3 For dower of blessèd children,
For love and faith's sweet sake,
Which nought on earth may break.
4 Be present, awful Father,
To give away this Bride,
Out of his own pierc'd side.
5 Be present, Son of Mary,
To join their loving hands,
In Thine eternal bands.
6 Be present, Holiest Spirit,
To bless them as they kneel ;
The heavenly Spouse dost seal.
? O spread Thy pure wing o'er them !
Let no ill power find place,
The hallowed path they trace,
8 To cast their crowns before Thee
In perfect sacrifice,
Didst as a guest appear,
Vouchsafe Thy presence here:
The marriage vow to be,
Between the Church and Thee. 3 On those who at Thy altar kneel,
O Lord, Thy blessing pour,
To love Thee more and more.
In purity and love,
A crown of life above.
The God whom we adore,
Burial of the Dead.
i Now lay we calmly in the grave
This form, whereof no doubt we have
2 And so to earth again we trust
What came from dust, and turns to dust,
3 His trials and his griefs are past,
A blessed end is his at last;
4 He lives where none can mourn and weep,
And calmly shall this body sleep
5 So help us, Christ, our hope in loss !
Thou hast redeemed us by Thy cross

For our own departed souls ;

Thou the blood of life hast shed ;

With the thought of all its sin ;
