When we are at the pantomime what funny sights we see!
We clap our hands and laugh aloud, as happy as can be!
There are giants, dwarfs and fairies too, all dressed so bright and gay,
And the pantaloon and clown, you know, such funny things they say!
There's the goose that laid the golden eggs, the dame that owned it too,
There's the boy who climbed the bean-stalk, a clever thing to do.
Now the dame is mounted on the goose,-and really, I declare,-
The goose with her still upon her back is floating in the air!

Oh, come and see my dollie! come, see my dollie, do!
Oh, pray come! there's a dear Mamma and sister Katie too!
I've laid her down to sleep, you know, in such a nice wee bed,
With a pretty little pillow on which to lay her head.

She looks as nice and warm and snug as any doll can be;
So pray, Mamma and Katie dear, to the nursery come with me;
I shall leave her there all night, you know, and when I tell Papa,
I'm sure he'll say, "Why, Lilly dear, you're quite a real Mamma."
