The following is a statement of the date of each accident, the place where it occurred, the train, the cause and extent of the injuries inflicted upon each person, and the name of such person, as follows:

Oct. 6, 1864. A child (20 months old) of employe on gravel train, was run over and instantly killed, while attempting to cross the track two miles east of Jamestown.

Oct. 24, 1864. F. L. Davis, brakeman, while coupling cars had his hand and arm so badly crushed that amputation was necessary.

Feb. 1, 1865. Geo. Berger, a brakeman, while coupling cars at Jamestown had his hand crushed.

Feb. 22, 1865. O. W. Bartlett, a passenger, got off train at Panama, and in getting on again slipped and was injured slightly. Resumed his journey next day.

Feb. 16, 1865. A man, name unknown, was sitting on track two miles west of Jamestown, was struck by engine and instantly killed. He had been drinking.

Cookson,

Aug. 9, 1865. I. T. Cookson, engineer, and fireman, were instantly killed, and a train boy so badly injured that he died, by the explosion of engine No. 3. Cause of explosion unknown.

Dan McCarty, a brakeman, fell between cars at Salamanca. Badly injured but recovered.
