TIMON OF ATHENS.

. Why this

Will lug your priests and servants from your sides;
Pluck stout men's pillows from below their heads:
This yellow slave

Will knit and break religions; bless the accursed;
Make the hoar leprosy adored; place thieves,
And give them title, knee, and approbation,
With senators on the bench: this is it

That makes the wappen'd widow wed again.

Consumptions sow

In hollow bones of man; strike their sharp shins,
And mar men's spurring. Crack the lawyer's voice,
That he may never more false title plead,

Nor sound his quillets shrilly.

..Rascal thieves,

Here's gold: go, suck the subtle blood of the
Till the high fever seeth your blood to froth,
And so 'scape hanging.......

grape,

. I'll example you with thievery : The sun's a thief, and with his great attraction Robs the vast sea: the moon's an arrant thief, And her pale fire she snatches from the sun : ....each thing's a thief;

The laws, your curb and whip, in their rough power Have uncheck'd theft. Love not yourselves: away:

Rob one another. There's more gold: Cut throats; All that you meet are thieves: To Athens, go,

Break open shops: nothing can you steal,

But thieves do lose it.

TAMORA.

The birds chant melody on every bush;

Who marks the waxing tide grow wave by wave, Expecting ever when some envious surge

Will in his brinish bowels swallow him.

When I did name her brothers, then fresh tears
Stood on her cheeks; as doth the honey dew
Upon a gather'd lily almost wither'd.

Poor harmless fly!

That with his pretty buzzing melody

Came here to make us merry; and thou hast kill'd him.

TROILUS AND CRESSIDA.

ALEXANDER.

This man, lady, hath robbed many beasts of their particular additions; he is as valiant as the lion, churlish as the bear, slow as the elephant: a man into whom nature hath so crowded humours, that his valour is crushed into folly.

ULYSSES.

The specialty of rule hath been neglected:
And, look, how many Grecian tents do stand
Hollow upon this plain, so many hollow factions.
When that the general is not like the hive,
To whom the foragers shall all repair,

What honey is expected?

Take but degree away, untune that string,

And, hark, what discord follows! each thing meets

In mere oppugnancy; the bounded waters
