All prior Acts relating to the Recovery of Wages, or the 10 Determination of Complaints and Disputes between Masters and Servants, shall be and the same are hereby repealed, in so far as the same are inconsistent with or repugnant to the Powers and Provisions of this Act, but no further or otherwise. A BILL ΤΟ Amend "The Metropolis Management Amendment W Act, 1862." HEREAS Doubts have arisen whether certain Portions of Preamble. and Red upon a Map or Plan, duplicate Copies whereof have been lodged at the Offices of Her Majesty's Principal Secre5 tary of State for the War Department and the Metropolitan Board of Works, form Part of the District of the Tower mentioned in Schedule B. to the Metropolis Local Management Act (1855), and are subject to the Provisions of the same Act: And whereas it is expedient that such Doubts should be removed, and that such Portions 10 of Great Tower Hill should be declared to form Part of the said District of the Tower for all the Purposes of the said Act: Be it enacted by the Queen's most Excellent Majesty, by and with the Advice and Consent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the Authority 15 of the same, as follows: 1. Such Portions of Great Tower Hill as are shown and coloured Certain Portions of Green and Red upon the said Map or Plan herein-before referred to Tower Hill form Part of the District of the Tower mentioned in Schedule B. to to form Part of Tower District. Powers of under tinued. Saving Rights of the the Mayor, &c. of London. the Metropolis Local Management Act, 1855, for all the Purposes of the said Act. 2. Provided always, That the Trustees for the Time being under the Act of Parliament of the Thirty-seventh Year of His Majesty King George the Third, Chapter Eighty-seven, shall continue to have 5 Powers to maintain, manage, pave, water, cleanse, improve, and regulate the enclosed Garden or Ornamental Ground coloured Red on the said Plan, and to levy Rates for defraying the Expenses incurred in the Execution of such Powers; and that nothing herein contained shall extend, or be construed to extend, to impair, alter, 10 affect, or prejudice the Right or Title of Her Majesty, Her Heirs or Successors, or Her or Their Officers or Ministers, and of the Mayor and Commonalty and Citizens of the City of London and their Successors, claiming Right or Title in or to such Portion of Great Tower Hill as is referred to in this Act, for any public Purposes for 15 which the same or any Part thereof hath been at any Time heretofore used or otherwise, but that such Right and Title shall continue as if this Act had not been passed. |
