Living in Laodicea

When you contemplate the state of the American Church today, do you envision an institution that is vital and growing, or one that is stale and in decline? And more importantly, what do you think Christ would have to say about His church in this country? In all likelihood, our Lord would chastise us for being complacent just as He severely rebuked the Church at Laodicea for being "lukewarm." Consequently, since the health of the Body of Christ is dependent upon the health of each member of the Body, chances are good that He would rebuke you and me. So if your spiritual life seems to be stuck in neutral, if God seems to be distant, there is a solution: "be zealous, and repent." It's what Christ told the Laodiceans to do almost 2,000 years ago, and it's what He's calling each of us to do.today.
