NOTE.-Pursuant to authority given at the annual meeting of the stockholders held April 10, 1919, the railroad property and franchises of the Virginia-Carolina Railway Co. were by indenture dated April 10, 1919, leased to the Norfolk and Western Railway Co. for a term of 99 years. Later, by deed dated August 27, 1919, the railroad property and franchises were conveyed to the Norfolk and Western Railway Co.
