Infomation about the formulu used to compute toportance
ratings, satisfaction ratings, problem scores, and sajor problers
are addressed in this appendix. They are followed by listing of
all sajor probleus identified by previous Concerns Report Surveys.
Concerns Report Ratings and Formulas
Each survey asked respondents to rate the laportance of
and satisfaction with each issue.
Each ites was rated on a so
point scale. The following exaaple on aedio portrayal illustrates
using the following forbula: (Where N is the total number of
respondents and nu is the number of 4 ratings, ng is the nuaber of 3
Thus, the highest possible rating is 100%, and the lowest is 0%.
Next, a probleu score was computed for each itea.
An iter rating high
in inportance but low in satisfaction indicated the existence of a
proble. Problem scores were computed using the following formula:
Maan Laportance Score X (100 • Hoan Satisfaction Score)
An issue was defined us a major proble, if its probleo score
was at least i standard deviation above the dean for that survey.
Approxiutely 20% of the survey itens on each survey were so
