LETTER OF TRANSMITTAL.

To His Excellency, L. M. Shaw, Governor of the State of Iowa:

In compliance with legal requisition, I have the honor of submitting to you herewith the thirty-third annual report of the Iowa State Horticultural Society, including the reports of the four district societies into which the state is now divided.

Allow me to express the hope that the society will have the continued support and kind consideration of the executive and our legislature.

IOWA STATE HORTICULTURAL SOCIETY.

The society keeps open office in the state house, at Des Moines, where all communications should be addressed. and where inquiries may be made on horticultural subjects. The society desires to be a bureau of information for the tree-planting public, and will cheerfully give information on all horticultural subjects. Specimens of fruit and other objects of interest solicited, and will receive attention.
