Little Miss Muffett

Sat on a tuffett,

Eating of curds and whey;

There came a black spider,

And sat down beside her,

Which frightened Miss

Muffett away.

THERE WERE TWO BLACK BIRDS.

There were two black birds

Sitting on a hill,

The one was named Jack,

The other named Jill.

Fly away Jack!

Fly away Jill!

Come again Jack!
Come again Jill!

PUSSY CAT MEW.

Pussy Cat Mew jumped over a coal,

And in her best petticoat burnt a great hole.

Poor Pussy's weeping, she'll have no more milk,
Until her best petticoat's mended with silk.

I LIKE LITTLE PUSSY.

I like little pussy,

Her coat is so warm, And if I don't hurt her. She'll do me no harm; So I'll not pull her tail, Nor drive her away, But pussy and I

Very gently will play.

A stitch in time saves nine.
